When you go on a vacation to Suriname you must be vaccinated against certain tropics diseases like:

Hepatitis A

Mainly malaria is in the three southern districts of Suriname in the capitol Paramaribo and the coastal area’s are no risc area’s to catch malaria. When you go out of these area’s be sure you have malaria pills with you, don’t buy them in your own country Surinam have enough of them and they are much cheaper.

Denque

The Denque mosquito is also in Suriname you have to be careful and take precautions. When there is a outbreak of Denque the Surinamese government will give a warning. If you are stung by a Denque mosquito the symptoms as when you have a flu. NEVER take aspirin always use paracetamol (500 mg) you can buy them at the local Surinamese pharmacist, fore you own health and safety go to a doctor.
