There are four weather seasons in Surinam:

Small rain season(SRS)

First half of December till second half of January in this period the temperature will be something like 25 / 26 degrees. In the small rain season it can rain a lot sometimes more then in the big rain season.

Small dry season(STR)

First half of January till first half of March, less rain and more sun temperature increase.

Big rain season(BRS)

Second half of March till second half of August, in this period it will almost rain every day. When it starts to rain it can go on fore days road be un save to drive and parts of Paramaribo and the in land are flooded.

Big dry season(BDS)

Second half of august till second half of December in this period it is very dry there is almost no rain. Temperature will rise high above 30 degrees Celsius and can even go up to 40 degrees ore more. Luckily the wind north east pasaat will always be present.

Weather in Surinam is just like every where else in the world unpredictable due to climate changes season can be spread and can start earlier or later in the year. It is even possible that fore instant in a dry season it will only rain. Bud a other advantaged is that even when it is raining the temperature will be some thing like 23 till 25 degrees Celsius
