ADSL

In Surinam there is a possibility to get ADSL costs US 55 per month, costs for setting up this connection US 300. Connection speed is not high and you can’t compare it with the speed your used to. There is no possibility to access a newsgroup ore setting up a FTP server, Telesur does not support news and FTP servers.

Stay in touch with home

TTo stay in touch with relatives or friends at home you can use MSN or Skype, we don’t think we have to explain MSN. Skype is a voice over IP program, when you use Skype you can talk to people all around the World and if you have a ADSL connection it will not cost you anything.

If you don’t have ADSL bud a phone connection the only cost you have to pay are the time intervals of your phone.

Time intervals :

0.600 – 17.00 hour 1 impulse = 1 minute
17.00 – 22.00 hour 1 impulse = 2 minute
22.00 – 06.00 hour 1 impulse = 3 minute

This means that one hour internet during day time will cost you SRD 4.25* = 1 euro.

Keep in mind the time difference between Surinam and you home country.
