Many internships are using a bicycle fore there transportation, there are no separate lanes and the Surinamese driving a car are always in a hurry so be careful.

If you want to rent a car you will need a valid national and international driving licenses. If you don’t have a international drivers licenses you can buy one at the police station New Harbor. Renting a car in Surinam is not expensive bud you will have to pay a high surety.
