NECCESARY DOCUMENT TO APLLY FORE A PERMIT SURINAMESE ORIGIN

Apply fore a permit fore foreigners of Surinamese origin, person that have a other nationality bud who are born in Surinam. If you wish to stay in Surinam longer then tree months then you need a residence permit . To apply fore this permit you have to fill in a petition addressed to the minister of justice an police. This petition can be obtained at the head section foreign affairs, when you do this you also have to submit several documents that you have brought with you.

Documents you have to submit

  • Proof of deregistration of the municipality where you just to live (original). This deregistration will not be asked is no longer necessary bud we advise you to take one with you because you will need it fore other purposes.
  • Birth certificate original and copy
  • Petition in duplicate addressed to the minister of Justice an police, children above they age of 18 years have to submit a petition addressed to the minister in a separate envelope. You can get this petition at the foreign affair office in Surinam Mr. J. Lachmonstreet 165-166.
  • Two adhesive stamps of SRD 1.50 (available at the post office in Paramaribo) note that these a not postage stamps
  • Two recently looking passport photo’s per family member(no scan or computer photo)
  • Admission Form (available at the immigration Mr. J. Lachmonstreet)
  • Photocopy of all written pages of the passport (validity at least 6 months)
  • Original Marriage Act, if this marriage act is in a other  language than Dutch or English a official translation have to be attached) if the application is for one of the spouses, then information on the residence of the other spouse must be submitted. If this spouses has the Surinamese nationality then a copy of the ID card / passport is needed.
  • Concubine, official document that will proofed that you lived to getter in the country you came from. Social contract, proof of registration.
  • Recede deposit US 200 you have to pay this at the agricultural bank account number 5901191, or Central bank of Surinam account number 324623. Account name ministry of justice and police. At the Central bank you can also pay in SRD account number 324642 same account name as mentioned above. You can also pay in SRD at the main office of the ministry of justice and police accounting an financial department, Henck Arron street nr. 1 open on: Monday till Friday  0.800 am – 12.00 pm. Can only be paid when all documents are complete. You have to pay before you submit the documents.

Employees

  • Means of income you only have to provide documents based on your situation;
  • Employers Declaration (original valid fore at least three months, with the amount of income, date issued and company stamp)
  • Handling of the permit will only take place when you have a company work permit issued by the Ministry of ATM (Labour, Technology and Environment)

Entrepreneurs who need a license

  • Copy Shop, business license (original available) *
  • Entrepreneurs who don’t need a license
  • Extract KKF (original not older than 1 year)
  • SAS receipt (recent) *

Depended family members(pupils, students, spouse concubines, minors)

  • Official letter of the school or university
  • Documents from the person / persons from who you are financially depended

The guarantee also have to submit the following documents

  • Original proof of registration CBB
  • Copy ID Card or passport

Other income

  • Pension documents, welfare not older then tree months

Submitting your application is possible from Monday to Thursday from 08.00 pm till 13.30 am. On Friday the information can be gathered regarding the status of your application. All persons have to ask personally about the status of the of the  permit take you passport an necessary papers with you.
