BUYING A CAR

In Surinam 90% of the cars are imported from Japan most of them are a in pretty good shape prices if you compare them whit other countries are low. In Surinam there are a lot of 4 wheel drives this is not a luxury, if you want to go in to the rainforest you certainly need one.

Another reason to choose for a four wheel drive, roads in Surinam are not that good. Big holes specially in the rain season are very common also a lot of roads in the suburban areas and districts are still made out of sand.

New or used car

When you buy a car you can choose to buy a used or brand new one in Surinam there is a very big stock of both of them.

Renting a car

There is also the posibility to rent a car,  fore a small cars it wil cost 15 till 20 euro per day, fore 4 wheel drives about 60 euro per day.
